Yassi and Jon married on a bright winter afternoon at The 101 in Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square. I had done several styled shoots and shows at their venue and was so excited to help design their classic, minimalist event. Yassi and her love are both in medical school and super busy so it was important for her to share her vision with me and then let me sort of take the helm. We used greens and whites and creams in order to capture the modern, timeless feel she dreamt of. (Luckily she let me add some of my personal flair with touches of Juliet garden roses).
Yassi really liked the idea of an English garden style wedding with simple elements and an inspired gown and bouquet.
I designed an altar arrangement from base of their altar area with snaking greens attached to the vintage concrete wall. The stark whites and earthy colors really helped the minimalist arrangement pop.
Yassi and Jon had family-style tables with long garlands of vendela and juliet garden roses.
Congrats to Jon and Yassi Yi! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a special day! You two are so clearly in love, it’s inspiring.
