Samantha and Andy came to me last winter to book flowers at their Majestic Inn and Spa wedding for August. I'd done weddings at the Majestic and was so excited because I knew the hotel staff were awesome to work with and the picture options close by were innumerable. Christopher Gendron did all their photography and his contact info is on the watermarks.
Samantha had a male bridesman and so did I so I was already excited when I knew we had that fun similarity. I love how more and more couples are blending sexes in their wedding party picks.
For Andy and his groomsmen, I chose peach flowers, Andy had a juliet garden rose.
The bride and bridesmaid's bouquets were lush and full with dahlias, carnations, roses and limited greens of jasmine vine and ruscus. The bride wanted peaches, oranges, fushias and pinks for her sorbet colors.
I made sure to include a cafe au lait dahlia as the focal point in Sammi's bouquet to capture the peachy pinks of the other flowers.
The reception was held in the hotel ballroom with golds and ivories and the prettiest chandeliers. I used raised glass vases and did unstructured domes of flowers that complimented the ones used in the bridal party arrangements. The couples kept things simple and allowed their bright colors to add the warmth to their beautiful reception space.
Congratulations to the lovely couple, thank you for working with me and embracing me and my work with such warmth and enthusiasm.
