Jenna and Matt are a very special couple to me. Last year Matt took Jenna on a hike for couple's photos with Kristina Lord Photography, who happens to be another vendor I love working with. Matt asked Kristina to recommend a florist to make a small engagement bouquet to match Jenna's dress for the "surprise engagement" shoot. Jenna had no idea it would be the proposal of a lifetime and since then, the couple stayed in touch with me as they planned their intimate celebration at Huntley Lodge in Cle Elum.
I designed two large arbor arrangements for the couple to use on their ceremony arch as well as on their sweetheart table. Jenna wanted dark yet natural colors with pops of burgundy for her bouquet which was a gift to the couple. In order to maximize the rose gold pop in the bride's color pallette, I used floral spray paint to add touches of metallics to the greenery used in her arbor pieces.
Getting the bouquet shape just right was important to Jenna who desired a rounded, lush bridal bouquet with trailing greenery- I used lots of plumosa fern and silver dollar eucalyptus to achieve this shape- which I assembled in front of a full-length mirror so as to get it just right! The joy of the day was truly infectious!
You can see from these beautiful shots by Kristina Lord Photography, that the flowers held up really well, despite the humid and hot summer weather. The bride even picked up her bouquet and arbor arrangements the day before her event! The toffee roses opened so sweetly and the peachy juliet garden roses were a soft touch.
Congrats again to Mr. and Mrs. Gould! All photos by Kristina Lord Photography
