Carissa came to me for bridal party flowers for her spring Kiana Lodge event about a year prior to her event. She was in grad school and wanted to get things nailed down with wedding planning ASAP. She wanted a neutral and blush palette. Her dress was blush and was a real showstopper and she wanted something equally amazing to carry down the aisle. I used lots of garden roses, peonies and trailing greenery to give her the unstructured, boho flowers of her dreams.
Her bridal party had matching bouquets with a similar feel but smaller. She had me use hand dyed blush ribbon.
Carissa's fiance jacob, wore a bout of veronica and ranunculus and the rest of her groomsmen wore similar bouts with small differences, some with lisianthus, some with eucalyptus.
I just love first looks and you can see Carissa's peony and lisianthus hair piece which was a half piece on a comb accented with locally grown ferns and passion vine.
The bridesmaids walked down the aisle in varying styles and lengths of blush dresses, they each looked unique and beautiful.
Carissa's love for all her best friends on her special day was apparent in how happy she was in all of her special pictures. Her planning allowed all of the PNW feel of her peninsula wedding to flow together, her flowers even complimented the potted ferns on the grounds of the lodge!
This wedding was so fun to work on, even smaller orders allow me to partner with the couple to develop something unique and bold for their big day. This order found me meeting the bride's friend at a coffee shop at sunrise for drop off- I love the fact that my job allows me to work with such a wide variety of wedding styles and so many sweet couples!
Congrats to Carissa and Jacob! Thank you for working with me! Photos by Alex Levine Photography
